Trumpet Wom
trumpet, keys and vox -- like you've never heard
TWom is a triple threat, combining trumpet, keys and singing into songwriting that sounds like Nina Simone meets David Bowie.
She released her fifth studio album Evolution in 2020 and currently resides in Philadelphia where she filmed/recorded and released her first live album More Trumpet! live in 2024.
Originally from Maryland, in high school she was admitted to the National Symphony Orchestra Youth Fellowship Program. TWom received her Bachelor's of Music in Trumpet Performance in 2008 from the University of Maryland where she studied with Chris Gekker.
After graduating she founded the band La Coterie before creating her solo act Trumpet Grrrl in 2010, later upgrading her name to Trumpet Wom aka TWom.
Some highlights of her career include recording at Converse Rubber Tracks in Brooklyn, YouTube Studios in Nashville, being selected for TIDAL Editorial Spotlight (Roots Redux: Folk Got Soul), and recording with GRAMMY winning producer and engineer Scott Jacoby.
She is currently recording a new album with her band in May 2026.
